The Conclusion.

This was by far the best part of my trip! The last few days we had left, we wanted to explore the North part of Sikkim! Going around in hired cabs seemed mainstream, so, we hired bikes from Gangtok and decided to go our own way this time. Honestly, traveling around on a bike gives you a whole different experience of the place, although a little expensive. The first place we visited was Yumthang Valley. As soon as I saw this I was awestruck and thought to myself we should have skipped Darjeeling and toured North Sikkim first! The ride to the place too wasn’t bad, so we enjoyed the ride as well. The day was almost over by the time we finished having a look around and clicking pictures. We stayed the night at a place called Lachen and prepared for the next long ride. It was to Gurudongmar Lake which was around 70kms from the hotel we stayed! Considering the road and weather conditions we were advised to leave at 4 in the morning so that we reach on time, no one is allowed there beyond 12 in the noon. We eagerly got ready the next morning and left the hotel. The road to get to the place was horrible,60kms of bad roads, and to make things worse the weather was somewhere between -7 to -10c! We’d had enough! Finally reached the place at 10 am. I gotta say, Its a really beautiful lake, but because of the weather and the wind, we weren’t able to enjoy the beauty much! No one stayed at the place for more than 10 mins. Had a quick look at the lake and left back to the hotel. Our next stop was at a small town named Mangan, we stayed the night there. The following day we had one other place in mind to visit before getting back to Gangtok, it was Dzongu. There was nothing much to see in Dzongu other than a lake and a hot spring. It was still fun and we did enjoy it there. We were able to complete Dzongu in few hours and headed back to Gangtok. And from Gangtok, back to home sweet home, Bangalore.

Guys, this was it. These were the last few days of my North East trip! It was an awesome experience for me and I would like to thank my parents and uncle for giving me an opportunity to travel and explore, for making this amazing trip possible!

Thank you again, everyone!
